Local Tip: Parking is difficult in this part of town. Traffic can be heavy in rush hour, and during classes. We recommend taking the Tucson Street Car, accessed a few block south.

Vail Arizona is a small town just southeast of Tucson.
Hotels near Tucson Arizona are here for a quiet desert location close to Saguaro National Park East. Perfect for stargazing — the night skies here are dazzling.

Hampton Inn & Suites Tucson Tech Park — Fabulous choice when visiting Saguaro NP, eastern entrance only a 16 minute drive.
Voyager Resort Inn is less than 10 miles away from the Pima Air & Space Museum. Will you be attending the Pima County Fair? This value stay is also right down the road. Rather bring your RV - they have amazing hook-up spaces.
Spark by Hilton Tucson Airport is convenient if you're flying in to stay in a City Near Tucson Arizona. Easy drive to Saguaro National Park, and it's a real value for with an excellent rating.
Green Valley is best for a slower pace and snowbird-style stays.
Yet it's a short drive to Tucson. Many snowbirds have purchased homes around town, some stay year-round.

January through early April has perfect weather. November or December are delightful, too.
Not likely to spoil outdoor plans because of a rainy day. But if there has been a winter storm that occasionally arrives - it's a good thing! Because you'll have great photo ops of blooming desert wildflowers in March & April.

When is the cheapest time to visit Tucson?
June to August is when you'll have the Lowest Rates to Choose From. Lots of specials for hotels or home-stays, as well as for things to do. You might be delighted if you're in Tucson during our monsoon season which is July through Mid-September. And a trip up into the Santa Catalina Mountains will be cooling and awesome.
