Steps to the campus, plus all the college-town eateries! Gentle Ben's is one of our favorites. They have a parking lot & valet service, both for a fee.
Local Tip: Parking is difficult in this part of town. Traffic can be heavy in rush hour, and during classes. We recommend taking the Tucson Street Car, accessed a few blocks south.

Many love this luxury resort, as they Discover JW Marriott Star Pass. Surrounded by the Sonoran Desert landscape peacefulness.
We loved the morning here, when we went from our casita to the Native American flute ceremony at sunrise. It gave us that inspiring calm before a day of sampling the restaurants, luxuriating with a spa treatment, and taking a hike right from the property.
Nice spot near the Wilmott and Speedway corner, with food and entertainment nearby. This Embassy Suites Stay includes breakfast, and has a bar for evening relaxation.
Local Tip: For something different, check out Bookmans Entertainment Exchange in Monterrey Village. At the Southwest corner of the above noted intersection.

But rates are tremendously reduced from June to August! Yes, it’s hot, but poolside margaritas help - especially when you take a dip into those cool waters! And relax in the shade - it does make a difference. Plus July & August is our city's Monsoon Season - when the Humidity and Dew Point change, creating amazing storms.

THE HIGH SEASON:
January through early April has perfect weather. November or December are delightful, too. Many visitors have booked their hotels in Tucson AZ quite a bit in advance. They want to find their assortment of places and best rates for this time of year.
Not likely to spoil outdoor plans because of a rainy day. But if there has been a winter storm that occasionally arrives - it's a good thing! Because you'll have great photo ops of blooming desert wildflowers in March & April.
